La Brune (French for ‘Brunette’) was created when multi-award winning winemaker, Nico Grobler visited Burgundy and fell in love with Burgundian winemaking and the expression of their wines. Bringing this back to South African soil, his wines focus on finesse, elegance and purity of fruit. Nico and his wife Christelle set up their vineyard in Elgin Valley with the focus to craft naturally fresh and lifted wines with a passion for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in particular.
