The story of Viña Apaltagua began in 1995 when successful American businessman Edward Tutunjian was on holiday in Chile and fell in love with both the country and its wines. It was at that moment that he decided to acquire his first vineyard, La Pancora, located in the prestigious Curicó Valley. Further land was added in the following years transforming the company into a multivalley winery representing five of the major wine producing regions in Chile. As well as their vineyards in La Pancora, located in the prestigious Curicó Valley, they also own vineyards in Manantiales in San Antonio, Hacienda San Juan de Pirque & Huaquen Estate in Maule and, Alpatagua & El Huaico in Cochagua. The wines produced are full of ripe fruits with good acidity and offer fantastic value.
